John Griese asked:
Ah!! There’s not much like the thrill of seeing the latest Hollywood blockbuster on the big screen! Excitement fills the air as the house lights dim. The low murmur from the speakers begins to rise and surround you as the sounds permeate the theater from back to front, left to right- adding a bit of vibrating excitement from the tips of your toes up to top of your head. Every hair on your body stands up on end. This experience can be recreated in your very own home, as long as you have the right home theater equipment.

Steve Faber asked:
You've all heard it, that dreaded 60Hz hum through the speakers of a home theater or house audio system. Hopefully you heard it at a friend's house and not your own. It can drive you completely nuts. You may have even tried, unsuccessfully, to fix the little noise problem. That can make you even more crazy. What causes that horrendous noise through your home theater speakers?

I don't know about you but I hate shopping all over the place trying to put together a package of anything and my home theater system is the same way. Instead of shopping around and building a system from scratch that may not even communicate to each component properly why not do like I did and go with an all in one home theater system?
These systems are now all inclusive and take away the headache of trying to figure out everything that is needed for the home theater experience, it all comes in one package.

If you aren't a technical oriented type of person, and I'm not, then trying to put together a home theater system can be confusing and aggravating or it could be as easy as plugging a few cords in. It all depends on the system and components you choose. No matter what kind of home theater system you have decided to go with a quality television is crucial to the overall experience. When shopping for televisions you now have choices like rear projection, plasma, and even LCD TVs with super thin screens the thickness of a large book. Let's take a closer look at some of these options.

Laurie Lindsay asked:
Buying a surround sound system or home theater on a budget doesn't have to be mission impossible. In fact, it is quite easy to work with almost any budget when purchasing these systems in today's marketplace. The thing you have to remember is that you do most often get what you pay for and the higher quality systems are going to cost more money. It is often difficult once you've experienced the difference in sound quality of the higher end surround sound systems to make the decision to purchase one that fits within lower budget requirements but you can get sound quality for a lower price and stay on budget if you shop very carefully.

Milos asked:
Home theater speaker placement is equally important as the system itself. Even if you have the best speakers, if you do not consider the proper home theater speaker placement then your equipment will not produce the best effect.
However, there are so many things to consider in home theater speaker placement that the task can be really confusing. You have to think about the shape and the layout for a home theater as well as the placement of the furniture. You also want to think about placing the speakers and wires safely away from young children or pets. Of course, you want a home theater speaker placement that will make the room organized and pleasing. With all these variable factors, you should know that there is no single best home theater speaker placement. It will depend on your specific situation.

Alex Olson asked:
A home theater, to put it very simply, is arranging a variety of electronic components in order to make you feel that you are really watching a movie in a movie theater. Watching a movie on a home theater system is not at all like watching it on an ordinary television.
In order to build a home theater properly you will need to try to recreate the same type of elements that you would find in a movie theater. To have a good home theater system, you will have to have the following essentials (and this is a bare minimum):
