The Advantages of Having a Home Theater

Enjoy Your Own Custom Home TheaterMost people love going to the movies to watch latest releases. For many families, a weekend at the movies is a great outing and an opportunity to spend time together.

On the big screen, the people and events are literally larger than life. The atmosphere that a big screen creates makes it seem as if you are really there in the middle of explosions and heart-stopping chases.

But there is a downside to this — the experience is often ruined when you're suddenly brought back to reality by the guy behind you kicking your seat, the baby two rows down screaming or the woman with the big hat sitting in front of you.

However, there is a solution. You can have a movie theater experience (sans the guy behind you, the screaming baby or the lady with the big hat) right in your own home. This is made possible with a [tag[home theater system[/tag] with state-of-the-art technology.

With a TV, surround sound system and a DVD player, you can have a movie watching experience in your living room.

While getting a home theater set up may sound like an expensive endeavor, it won’t take too long before you realize that you are saving money once you have a home theater system in place.

Going to the cinemas is expensive. If you have a family of four, your tickets alone can cost over $25. Quite a lot when you still have to pay the ridiculous prices for food. Before you get home you could have spent way over $50. With a home theater, you only really need to invest one time.

Having a home theater system also saves time: no traveling to and from the theater, no queuing in long lines and no waiting for the ads to finish. You don’t even have to wait for the movie to finish if you don’t want to. When you're in a movie theater, you can’t simply walk out half way through the movie and then come back for the rest when you feel like it.

Have you ever needed to go to the restroom in the middle of a movie but you wanted to get your full money’s worth on the $50 you spent and held it until the end? Have you ever come out of the movie house bursting to go to the bathroom?

With a home theater, you only need to hit the stop button on the remote, go to the bathroom or do whatever you need to do and then come back to your home theater system and press play. You are in charge. What could be easier?

With a home theater, you can watch movies however many movies you want, anytime you want. Isn't it annoying to arrive at the counter and discover that you got the wrong time for the movie you want to see or that it has sold out? And even if the movie isn't sold out and you get the last seat, it's still not something to be happy about.

If you've been in a full movie house, you know that being in there isn't fun. It’s noisy with the hundreds of bags of popcorn being eaten and hot with so many people. The person sitting next to you probably wouldn't share the armrest so you had to hold your drink the entire time.

A home theater system is convenient. You don’t have to dress well, get the kids in the car, grab money out the drawer or check the showing times. You won't ever have to do all of these if you have a home theater. Just roll out of bed and switch on your home theater system. It's undoubtedly the easiest experience you'll ever have at the movies.

A home theater system can also double up as a cool place to meet friends, listen to music through the surround sound or even to let the kids entertain themselves by playing video games.

When you think about it, not only is a home theater a great idea, it is far better than going to the movies. A home theater is ideal if you love watching movies but want to avoid the crowd and avoid paying a lot for tickets and food.
