Music System or Home Theater?

Hi! I need some advice whether should i purchase a Music System or a Home theater System? And what is the difference between both of them? The one I like is panasonic SC-VK960 iis a music system which can be used as home theater as it has 5 speakers and 2 sub woofers. Will there be any difference in surround sound within a home theater and a Music System?

I'm not sure how to answer you questions but I would choose Home Theater. You get to watch moves and TV with great sound.

home theater, it will play movies in dolby or dts and it will play music also.

Hi.When you begin looking for a new Audio/Video system for your home ,there are two basic questions to ask yourself.

One,am i a music listener or a movie watcher ? If you listen to more music ,but like to watch an occasional movie.then you might want to consider a high performance stereo system. If you have no real interest in the video aspect,then a surround sound system is probably not for you.

If you want a system for movies,then the second question to ask is what is the size of your room. The size and layout of your room will determine the type and size of equipment that is best for you.

I hope this information will help you to decide if you want a Music System or a Home Theater.
