HDTV Buyer's Guidelines
When it comes to choosing between Plasma and LCD, it's important to shop in the mindset that one high-def TV is not necessarily better than another - rather, it's a question of which one is right for you. That said, it can be a tough call to make when all that meets the eye are sleek screens and vibrant pictures - are Plasmas and LCDs really that different?

It is so easy to get swept up in the excitement, the presentations of CES. This year was no exception because there was an event-wide feeling that things are improving and that the PC, CE, communications industry has not only rebounded but is set for a number of years of solid growth. Watch the presentations and it is almost easy to believe that the world really does evolve around us. There are still challenges mixed in with the opportunities. It's still Shapiro's Greatest Show on Earth!
Content Insider #135: 3D TV
Go to a content conference, convention — heck any conference, any convention. What's the leading subject of conversation? OMG 3D movies are fantastic. 3D video games are so real. Did you hear what Sir Howard said the other day? Yep we're all going to have 3D TV by the end of next year...all of us!!! Gee and we're still paying for our big screen HD TV sets (all of them!).

Which means it's time for the annual Holiday Shopping Guide from Digital Media Online, Inc. I'm going to spotlight the best gifts for the techie, creative, home theater, computer users in your life. VIZIO VF550XVT1A 55-inch LCD HDTV
I'm a big fan of "America's number 1" LCD HDTV provider, VIZIO, and its wide range of home entertainment products. I've reviewed two previous LCD HDTV models (a 42-inch and a 47-inch), but I wanted to review something bigger and better. And I got the opportunity with the monster 55-inch XVT LCD HDTV, which has an incredible picture and sound.
Eviant T7 7-inch portable TV
Back in the early 1980s, a friend of mine got a new TV for Christmas. What was cool about it was that it was portable and powered by batteries, which let us watch TV in our treehouse. It was a hoot to watch TV in places other than the living room. Today, with the advent of digital TV, those analog TVs have gone by the wayside. Eviant Inc., has released a 7-inch portable color TV that harkens back to those days of portable television.
BenQ Joybee GP1 mini projector
Small form factor projectors have captured a lot of attention in the last year or so, probably due in part to their portability as well as the images that they output. BenQ has recently released a projector called the Joybee GP1 mini projector, that, while not pocket sized, does have a small footprint at just 5"x5"x2".
Samsung B650 series 40" 1080p 120hz LCD TV
Digital television is finally here for all of us in the US. From what I've gathered reading the news the transition was a fairly painless one for most of you. I figured now that the waters had calmed it was a good time to upgrade my own modest home theater. I did my homework and spent some time looking at sets at the store before deciding to purchase the Samsung LN40B650. The B650 series is available in 32, 37, 40, 46, 55 inch screen sizes.
$15 HDMI cable or $120 HDMI cable?
Now that you've picked out your new HDTV and Blu Ray player, the next step is to figure out what kind of cabling that you wish to purchase to get the best audio and video out of your system. Do you go for the super expensive and fancifully packaged branded cables that the TV salesman at your local electronics store pushes you to buy, citing unseen superiority, or do you opt for the less expensive but equally proficient HDMI cables from others that don't have the marketing dollars to push their product?
Content Insider #126—The Real Power
The multitasking female makes the decisions even when she allows (manipulates) the male to make the decision. Fortunately some firms are seeing the light and learning how to tap into the mind of the family power maker and decision shaper. The Kill Bill Vol 1 and Kill Bill Vol 2 movies proved to us that she might look meek and mild but boy don't tick her off because if you do — BIFF! BAM!! BOP!!! POW!!!!
